Women's History Month Employee Spotlight: Sheila Hernandez.

Regency360 recognizes the importance of honoring the achievements and contributions of women in various fields. In celebration of Women's History Month, we're shining a spotlight on the remarkable women who have made significant impacts within our workplace. These women serve as leaders, mentors, and a source of inspiration for us all.

Today are thrilled to shine the Employee Spotlight on Sheila H. , our Promo/Graphics Implementation Analyst at Regency.

1. Briefly share your background and what brought you to your current role at Regency? Tell us what sets you apart?

I bring over two decades of total experience in the promotional products industry, having worked for leading organizations such as Tervis Tumblers, BIC Graphic USA, and now Regency360. My journey to my current role at Regency360 began with my Art Prep position at Bic Graphic in 2004, which was my first job out of college at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. I was soon promoted to Graphic Designer, and stayed with the company for just over 7 years. After a foray into the Healthcare industry, I ultimately returned to Promotional Products to lend my high volume production expertise to Tervis Tumblers, leading their Promotional Products Division. When the time came to explore the next steps in my professional journey, I was lucky to find Regency360. I joined the PPA (Print, Promo & Apparel) team where I learned the ropes and made some wonderful friends, and eventually transitioned into the Graphics Team as a Graphics/Promo Implementation Analyst. I'm very proud to have the opportunity to leverage my expertise to contribute to the development of our B2B ordering system and digital asset libraries, and to be involved in the development of the Decoration Registration process.

2. Tell us what sets you apart?

I believe what sets me apart is my experience on both the supplier and distributor sides of the promo industry. I am able to lend a perspective that is very helpful to this side of the business, and prevent potential issues with production artwork before it gets to the supplier as I know what to?look?for.?

3.?How do you keep yourself motivated to learn and grow in your career?

Staying motivated to learn and grow in my career is paramount to me. I set clear development goals, actively seek out learning opportunities, and thrive on challenging projects. Collaborating with supportive colleagues and mentors inspires me to continuously strive for excellence. Overall, my passion for learning and growth drives me to stay curious, adaptable, and open-minded in my professional journey.

4. What does Women’s History Month mean to you? Why is it important?

Women's History Month is a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions and achievements of women throughout history. It's a reminder of the resilience, strength, and determination of women who have broken barriers, shattered stereotypes, and paved the way for future generations. It's important because it highlights the often-overlooked contributions of women in various fields and underscores the ongoing fight for gender equality. By recognizing and honoring women's achievements, we can inspire and empower others to strive for progress and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

5. If you could have dinner with any woman in the world, who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with any woman in the world, I would choose Malala Yousafzai. Malala's unwavering commitment to advocating for girls' education and her courage in the face of adversity are incredibly inspiring. Despite facing threats to her life, she continues to be a powerful voice for girls' rights and education globally. I would love to hear firsthand about her experiences, insights, and vision for a world where every girl has the opportunity to fulfill her potential. Sharing a meal with Malala would be an honor and a deeply enriching experience.

6. Most influential?woman in your life??

My daughter is undeniably one of the most influential young women in my life. Despite facing profound challenges from a young age, including the loss of her father at just 8 years old, she has demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and determination. Her journey from grief and struggle to becoming a shining example of perseverance and grace is nothing short of inspiring. As a female wrestler, she embodies courage and tenacity, fearlessly taking on opponents on the mat and in life. Her ability to overcome adversity and thrive academically while excelling as an athlete speaks volumes about her character and inner strength. At only 16 years old, she has already proven herself to be a beacon of hope and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on all who know her. I am incredibly proud of the extraordinary young woman she has become and the impact she continues to have on those around her. She makes me proud every day!
