Women’s History Month Employee Spotlight: Meet Michelle Okabe

Next, we are honored to spotlight? Michelle Okabe, CPA , a Senior Recruiting Manager in our Operations Practice.

Q:?What advice would you give to women in your field?

A: I love to meet new people and help others, and that's why I love recruiting. While my main responsibility is to find talent for Effectus Group, I listen to what people are looking for to be consultative in their job searches.

Q:?How are you breaking barriers faced by women in your field??

A: I encourage others to not be fearful to ask for what they want. The worst thing they can say is "NO." When someone says it to you, don't be discouraged. "NO" really means "Next Opportunity."

Q: Tell us about a woman you look up to and why.

A: I look up to my mom. My cousin described her as, "She seemed shy, but she wasn't shy at all. She would chuckle as she claimed not to be bold, yet proceeded to quite boldly urge others into action." She encouraged me to speak up and help others, but also have fun.
