Q: What advice would you give to women in your field?
A: The advice I would give to women is to always maintain a positive attitude in any situation and build a coaching relationship with someone you can trust to share your experiences, bounce ideas, and receive advice to navigate you through your career.
Q: How are you breaking barriers faced by women in your field???

A: We can easily see that women are underrepresented in tech-related jobs and sometimes we are not equally valued. The barrier won't break in one or two days but through many generations to come. For me, one of the ways that I am breaking that barrier is to constantly motivate myself to be a better person both in my work and my personal life. One example is that I am an Integrator; hence, I have a tendency to please everyone and hold off on my opinions. Knowing that, I push myself every day to speak my mind and express how I feel so that my opinions can be heard.
Q: Tell us about a woman you look up to and why.
A: There are many women that I look up to in my life. One of them is the Managing Director of Effectus Group's Risk Advisory and SOX practice, Hilary Cabodi, MBA, CIA . She is a symbol of not only a hard-working woman, but also a dedicated wife and mom. She leads our practice, but at the same time is a good wife and an awesome mother. Our work is very busy, but she continues to make time for her family, so that she can share memorable moments with her kids. Not only that, she cares for her practice members and often reaches out to ensure people are doing well and are heard.?
