Women’s Day – WIIFM?
I was wondering when I started to see posts about women suddenly going up on social media and realised, we are nearing International Women’s Day – 8th March!
As a woman, wanted to thank one and all who respect and celebrate women in this world. I have seen many women expressing how we are still not respected enough or not treated as we should be. I agree with them a bit. But, in my opinion, I wanted to say how happy I am to have had best of people around me who made my life easier and better for me throughout my life- either it is at work or personal – of course some made it tough for me but I thank them as they made me stronger to face my life with more positivity.
I am today a very happy and independent women – I know this would have not been possible without all the men in my life who stood behind every decision I took – Thank you dad, my brother, my 2 handsome sons, my mentors and my friends! Most of them being men… so, I strongly believe - every successful woman has a man or many amazing men behind her!
Navigating through diverse roles, I have come to appreciate all human beings around me and appreciate the importance of unity among all genders.
Yes, the journey towards equality remains ongoing but it is of course moving towards inclusion in a very positive direction. As a woman, I strive not just for personal success but contribute to the world where opportunities are and should be equal for all.

This Women’s Day let’s celebrate how far we have come and acknowledge and thank every person around us who could make this happen for us.
Together, we can break barriers, challenge stereotypes and continue shaping a world where every woman’s story is heard and respected - as mine is!

Happy Women’s Day!
