Women's Day - Special Tribute

Today is Women's Day!!!

In our societies preventing kids from basic access to education because they are girls,… considering that any kind of violence on women is understandable because they are women,…. treating women differently than men because they are women,… or girls differently than boys because they are girls....not reacting when girls or women are abused in any way and remaining silent when witnessing such violence...

I will stop the list here...

Because all those acts are crimes and should be treated as such!

In 2021 those crimes should be part of history..and that is not the case.

On Women's day, I want to applaud all those who fight to protect the women and kids in such pain and want to pay a special tribute to my wife Isabelle Santiago who has dedicated her life to fighting injustice and to protecting kids, parents, women, and families from such acts of violence.

For more than 10 years, she has been in charge of the protection of the youth for the Département of Val de Marne in France. In those responsibilities, she implemented breakthrough solutions in support of the kids and families of her department. She was inspired by Canadian and international best practices and worked collaboratively with all the actors of the stakeholder's landscapes disregarding their political affiliation because what matters to her was that she fulfilled the promises she made to kids and families when she accepted her responsibilities. 

Feminist, she was elected some month ago as a member of Parliament at the French Assemblee Nationale. Only four months after the elections she introduced a new piece of legislation aimed at protecting youngsters from incest.

After an incredible political fight, the legislation was voted on unanimously.

As her video below testifies she is dedicated to keeping on the effort aiming at offering a better environment and future for children and families endangered.

On women's day, I wanted to share a special tribute to an exceptional woman, as walking her talks, she is a role model in many ways and highly inspiring to men and women.
