International Women's Day is on the corner
Why it special, Why we need to celebrate it at the office and at all walks of our life?
Today is the opportune time to share my thoughts:
I am blessed to be surrounded by some beautiful souls in my life. My Mother is the first and true source of inspiration in my life who thought me the value of doing right and respect all the people around you irrespective of caste, gender, position, status, etc. In fact, all the key lessons of taking decisions at the right time, listening, communicating effectively, being true to yourself, share, care, always being fair are learned at home. She is in a joint family handling different kinds of family members, being cordial, supportive, honor others' opinions, being fair in the judgment, always being truthful, and sacrificed personal preferences for the larger good of the family. I think this perhaps we can relate at our work or society.
Spouse also has a tremendous influence on our life. She is the true champion at home, making most of the sacrifices, doing routine stuff day and day out, raising the kids, and embedding good principles while being strict … the list goes on and they take fewer breaks from us too. She has been a very strong lady and I am proud of her perseverance and strong will. The way she handled herself and our family after losing her only brother and recently mother is amazing. My wife always reminds me of the importance of leading a contented life and follow a balanced approach.
Here comes the special moment, if you are blessed with a girl child. I am truly blessed to have 2 daughters who are the real source of happiness, for me. At this young age itself, they show the qualities of caring, understanding, and adjust as the situation demands ( while they ask for things-not being adamant). They are creative, happy souls who keep your home lively and make your life easy. All the stress will vanish once you speak or see the faces of my daughters. They never fail to ask about my well-being soon I reach home. Believe me, this is very true and I have experienced it many times.
I am surely going to miss my mother-in-law who has left us last year. She was in the true sense was a great example of sacrifice, perseverance, and patience.
I also admire my many close cousin sisters who always helped and considered me as a younger brother and are part of my life journey.
My fellow female colleagues at the office perhaps are the true example of dedication, hard work, and creative excellence across our organization, manufacturing sites, R &D labs. So, here’s a special thank you to all our brilliant women staff who are helping to build the organization and making a difference. We truly admire our housekeeping staff and their sacrifices while they handle multiple serious domestic issues and work efficiently at the office too. The need of the hour is to show them respect, listen, provide opportunity, empathize and be fair.
Most of you also will be having similar experiences and learnings from Mother, Sister, Wife, Daughter, Teacher and female colleagues, bosses which had a positive influence in your life. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my thoughts which perhaps would be forgotten soon after the official women’s day celebrations gets over on March 8th.
Thank you for being such an inspiration at all walks of our life….
Wishing happy women's day to all...
