With the election less than a month away, we wanted to share the propositions that the Austin Chamber Board of Directors is endorsing on the November 2024 Ballot: ??Travis County Child Care Proposition A: The Austin Chamber is proud to represent over 1,700 businesses of every size here in Central Texas, and our members experience first-hand the challenges and barriers facing our childcare industry. This ballot proposition will help bolster our childcare workforce, address access issues in childcare deserts, and support our local economy. ??Austin ISD Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE): The health and vitality of our economy in Central Texas rely on a highly educated workforce and quality public schools. It's important to ensure we have a local talent development pipeline where every student is prepared with the knowledge and skills to thrive in college, career, and life. ??Round Rock ISD Bond Election: With one-third of RRISD's students living in Austin, this bond election will invest critical resources into the school system, and address significant maintenance upgrades throughout the district.
