“A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.”
Meet Regina Mixon
Who or what has influenced you as a leader?
One of my biggest influencers has been Joyce Meyer. I can relate on so many levels to her journey. In spite of all of the difficulties, she continued to pursue her purpose passionately and look where she is now.?
The major Who that has inspired me is God Himself. Showing me through various ways that I can become the person He created me to be. He has shown me His unconditional love for, allowing me to go from a state of brokenness to wholeness, and giving me the opportunity to share my journey with other women who have and are currently going through these things has proven to be priceless!
Many of life's lessons I, like many others, have had to learn the hard way. In the words of the great Dr. Maya Angelou, "When we learn, we teach." My pain and suffering was not in vain, but rather it was preparation for pursuing MY purpose passionately.
What one book would you recommend to a young woman beginning her leadership journey? Why?
The book that I would recommend to a young woman beginning her leadership journey is an old one but still very relevant. That book is, "Lord, Change Me" by Evelyn Cristenson.? First published in 1977, it has proven to be life-changing for me and I believe the same would hold true for any woman who reads it.
There are so many other books that I love dearly and have had such a positive, powerful impact on my life by various authors.??
In your opinion, what are three barriers or challenges women in leadership are still facing today?
I believe three barriers or challenges women in leadership face today are:?
1) Lack of self-confidence
2) Lack of support. To elaborate a bit more on this, many, because we are women, are not taken as seriously in our leadership abilities as our male counterparts even though we may be just as qualified or possibly more qualified than them. But, I can see shifts taking place, ever so slowly, and I continue to say - To God be the Glory, and lastly?
3) Continually looking for approval from others, looking for validation. As I often have heard and said, validation is for parking.?
When we, as women, really begin to believe in ourselves in a balanced way, tap into the powers within and without, collaborate with like-minded women, disconnect from toxicity even if it is a family member or friend, we will find that we are truly Women Destined to Win, and winning we will do. It's in our DNA!
What is your "why"?
My why is several fold. Number one, my why as it relates to becoming an entrepreneur in the real sense, is to be a blessing to many others through job opportunities, products, services, etc.

My why is to educate, enlighten, equip, empower, and enable other women to fully walk in their purpose. In doing so, multiplication takes place and the blessings are the gifts that keep on giving.
My why as it relates to my family is to help break some generational curses, to create lives in alignment with the Word of God, and to start generational blessings.
My why is so that when I leave this earth transitioning to be with my Father, is to hear Him say - "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."
My why is to leave this earth hopefully better by my presence. My why is because I have been called, chosen, anointed, and appointed for such a time as this.
Please share your WORDS OF GRATITUDE for women who have come before you.?
My grandmother and aunt have been the most influential people in my life. The wisdom given, although it took me much later to fully understand much of it, was and is invaluable. I come from a line of strong women and for this I am eternally grateful.
I am grateful for each and every coach, mentor, pastor, and every other woman who has spoken positives into my life. They each have paid hefty prices for the wisdom learned.
I am extremely grateful for my Women Destined to Win International Community! God knew we needed each other and To God be the Glory we have been going strong for six years. The administrators, official prayer team, those who participate without hesitation in sharing words that can help another sister C. L. I. M. B. These are some powerful women from all walks of life and I am genuinely humbled and honored to know each and every one of them.
Please share your WORDS OF WISDOM for those young women who will come behind you.
My advice to the younger women would be to know your worth. You deserve a life of joy, happiness, peace, and every good thing God has to offer you. You were never created to be a doormat, but rather a door opener. You were never created to settle or to be a punching bag for someone. You are royalty Queen! Walk like it! Talk like it! Dress like it! Act like it! And you will BECOME IT!
Always, always keep God first place in your life. Allow Him to do what only He can do. His love is unconditional.?
Connect with the movers and shakers. Disconnect from everything and everyone else. You've got this because God's got you!
