Women in Sustainability - I need your help!

Women in Sustainability - I need your help!

As part of my final research project for an MSc in Sustainability in Enterprise, I want to look at the drivers, enablers and barriers for women to create an effective professional identity as a sustainability leader.

We know that women are drawn to sustainability for what are known as pro-environmental, pro-social reasons (i.e. motivated to ‘save the world’ for the next generations) . With each passing year, there is a growing proportion of women ?stepping into sustainability leadership roles around the world.

We need all those women to be supported in their success, and for more to join them!

So to that end, I want to find out more about you!

My research comprises both literary (academic journals and reports) and interviews with women sustainability leaders. Whether you are starting out on your sustainability journey or have been ‘fighting the good fight’ for a long time, I would welcome your perspective.

What I envisage is a relaxed (and entirely confidential) 1-1 one hour chat via MS Teams (or face to face if that worked geographically), covering the following 3 questions:

1.??????What brought you into sustainability leadership ?

2.??????What is your experience of being a female sustainability leader today ?

3.??????What will support your success in your role, now and into the future?

The conversation can go in whatever direction you wish! All results will be anonymised.

Please use the link to book a time slot that works for you https://calendly.com/kathrynlynchresearch/women-in-sustainability-research

In recognition of giving your time and attention to this topic, I will plant a tree for each interview at a Rewilding project that is going on in my locality in Ireland.

We're planting Irelands Future, forests for businesses (irishtrees.ie)

If there are any other women sustainability leaders in your ‘orbit’ who you think my research would benefit speaking to, please pass on the details and I’d be delighted to make the connection.

I am really looking forward to our discussions.

Best,

Kathryn
