Women supporting women. Let's talk about that.

This year’s Olympics in Paris showcased heartwarming examples of teamwork and support among women. Several female teams broke world and Olympic records. However, the most impressive display of women supporting women occurred during the artistic gymnastics women’s floor exercise medal ceremony on August 5th.

What Happened?

At the start of the competition, Simone Biles was favored to win gold due to her strong qualifications. She had already claimed three gold medals for the Individual All-Around, Individual Vault, and Women’s Team Final. However, during the floor exercise final, she didn’t take gold but won silver instead. Despite this, Biles and bronze medalist Jordan Chiles exemplified true sportsmanship and set a powerful example of women supporting each other. During the podium ceremony, Biles and Chiles stepped back and bowed to Rebeca Andrade, who took home the gold. That right there is how it should be done.
