Women in STEM
Despite representing half of the world’s population, women and girls remain deeply underrepresented in STEM fields. For example, only 31% of researchers employed in research and development in countries across Africa are women.?
We can’t reimagine leadership and health systems without having a diverse group of leaders at the top. Including and empowering women in STEM leadership ensures that the science & innovation of our world reflects the needs of diverse populations.?
Join Ngozi Erondu, Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, Ify Aniebo, Francine Ntoumi, Salim Abdool Karim and other leaders in the space at the Women Leaders in Global Health Conference to talk more about how we can better support women in STEM in Africa. Register at bit.ly/WLGH2021.
