Women in Product Conference 2018

Another year, another Women in Product conference. I had the good fortune to spend a day in SFO attending the 3rd Women in Product conference amongst 1700 other women product leaders/women product wanna-be's. This is my second time going to the conference and I attend to meet other product leaders and to get inspired hearing the success stories, to get connected as they share their failures and vulnerabilities, and to know I have others I can look at or potentially reach out to should I need some advice. I also go because I get to meet and see the excitement from those new to the field and showing up as eager to learn and it reminds me to listen, to be there, and to share.

The theme this year was Breakthrough, and a lot of similar lessons resonated through the different talks - around taking risk, doing a job because its hard but that's when you grow and learn, and asking for what you want, and showing up and being there and leaning in. I definitely walked away energized, inspired and reminded to put plans into action and make those little tweaks we could all make to make our jobs and life just a bit better than it was the day before.
