Women; The Power of Influence

March 8 having been an International Women's Day, this is what i have to say about us the Women. So Many decades ago, women were just considered as house wives who had nothing to contribute to the society. However, today God has blessed us with every Spiritual Blessing that is in Christ Jesus. Among the things God blessed us with; is the power to Influence. To influence means having the capacity to cause an effect on the character, development, and behavior of someone or something.

A little background on myself', My mother raised me up. 90% of who I am and Who I have become is because my Mother labored by the Grace of God to bring it out of me. She took me to school and made sure that i obtain my Bachelors degree, She took me to church and shown me the way, she never hid all her hard works from me, she allowed me see how important it is to take care of people without expecting any thing in return. Today am intelligent, respectful, an entrepreneur, procurement officer, with a personal relationship with God, all thanks to my Mother, Mrs. Mutyaba Grace. I wouldn't be here today if my mother folded hands and left all the responsibilities of raising me to the hands of my father and a nanny. I honor men so much and it is our duty as women to be submissive to them even the bible talks about it, however when it comes to raising children, woman do your best.

Now to influence doesn't mean to over take men, the roles of women are clearly described in Proverbs 31, consider a field and buy it, rise up early and feed your family. there is a way society has made women believe that they are a weaker vessel and that they are to be given. I often organize people's weddings but the Kind of Bride Price parents ask for is really high and it becomes worse when the girl is educated as if the man taking her is not educated. Woman, stop putting yourself in a disadvantaged position, you are not a weakling neither are you a property to be sold off, Know your worth.Stop being at the receiving end as if you are some kind of Investment, your worth is more than rubies. Be an influence even at your home, become a challenge to your own husband, let him keep discovering you. it doesn't hurt for you to put food on the table, nor does it hurt for you to pay fees for your own children. there is no devil in seeing a nice piece of land and buying it for your household.

I often tell my friends, how it is important to get married to a person you can sit with on the table and discuss the future of your family. Do things together, why wait for a man to always put food on the table? Work together, put your investments together and finances, keep track of your financial records and see if your making progress as a family or not and discuss the possible ways of boosting your finances. We are leaders, though we lead silently, we lead by actions, we don't force our way on top, we do things that put us on top. I honor women who work with their hands and minds to contribute to their family welfare and the community at large. We were created to be Helpers, and to be a helper means to be a co-worker, teammate,supporter, partner etc to the men. This means, working in Harmony, where they have failed be there to bridge the gap without causing alarms. Men are also Human, they have weaknesses to, however at the point of their weaknesses, we have to stay strong so that at the end of the day, the intended results are met.
