From TechPoint: Drivers are commonly the most recognized individual on a racing team, but there are many positions needed to make a racing team successful, especially those with skillsets in #science, #technology, #engineering, and #math (#STEM).?

Team Principal Beth Paretta shared, “The technical positions on a race team can range from mechanical positions like front/rear end mechanics and gearbox specialists to electronics experts, who are in charge of monitoring and optimizing how electronics speak to the timing stand.”

Driving change together, one girl at a time- is precisely what the?School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI?and DPM Next Generation Foundation aim to do with their new karting program early next year.

Founder?Michelle Della Penna?says-

"We are excited and grateful to collaborate with this institution as we work to open up crucial new paths for women in this space.”

IUPUI Dean, Dr.?David Russomanno?agrees, stating: “We are thrilled to have DPM Next Gen Foundation as a new partner to advance a shared goal of providing experiences for girls to consider a STEM career through motorsports engineering."
