Women Leadership: do you really want it?

This is about women, again. And the big question who is the better leader in times of change and changing leadership competetencies: a man or a woman? Or today the groups that still have to be supported because of political correctness, whose number seems to be increasing daily. Let's just stay with men and women, and in any case, move towards political incorrectness.

And please read to the end!

I know a lot of women who follow their path: move on with making a career, have success in entrepreneurship and are self-employed or are focusing in their role being at home and being a mum. What unites all of them? They do what makes them happy and are proud of it. And suprisingly enough, they don't discuss equality, oppression, discrimination.

There are so many women who take what they want. A well-choreographed appearance ensures a woman a cocktail evening without costs, a changed car tire without dirty hands, the carried purchases up to the 4th floor. The famous weapons of a woman have always been without resistance.

And suddenly - in times of increasing equality - all this is not supposed to work anymore? It still works. Just not everywhere. But that is not because of the environment, but because of gender. As soon as women step up to leadership positions - sometimes with very little experience in this area - women believe we have to adapt male behaviors to stay successful. Have you ever thought the other way: a man adopting female behaviors in order to become more successful? I don't think so. I think it's due to the fact that we don't strongly believe in ourselves. We believe we have to be different in leadership positions. On the one hand, we have to set ourselves apart from men, on the other hand, we have to free ourselves from our own image of women, which has been acquired over many years. Many women do not even try this step and remain happy in the second row. Other women go the way to prove something to themselves, to the world, to men, to whomever. But in the end, women have always ruled the world, historically often by influencing men and in recent years increasingly in the forefront. 

Only women who choose the road to success because they simply want it for themselves go down this road with self-evidence, freedom, fun and the greatest success. 

So we know that we can do it. Now we just have to do it. But please not on the basis of the discussion about women. We should simply use the term human being much more. Because sometimes gender really doesn't matter. It is the personal attitude, ideally coupled with a few skills, that makes you successful.

And here is another motivational inset by a man: If you continue on your path, at some point enough women will be distributed across all hierarchical levels to ensure that the old guys are finally outnumbered. Then no one will discuss salary differences any more. At most the first men to be disadvantaged.
