Women in leadership - the time is now

With a snap general election in six weeks time, we will see - I have no doubt - much debate on the critical political, economic, social and environmental issues. We live in extraordinary times, when our taken-for-granted futures are in a state of phenomenal flux and few sensible people are taking bets on the outcome.

The question about what kind of leadership is needed for these times has never been more important. It's time for a radical reappraisal of how we define and how we practise leadership.

Join us on May 16-17th at Llananant Farm - an organic, permaculture holding in the heart of Monmouthshire - in a collaborative action inquiry. We will be using innovative, experiential and engaging methods to explore this crucial subject and, perhaps, most importantly, how we can bring our leadership in such turbulent times. As well as sessions* facilitated by expert and experienced women leaders, we will also be able to work creatively in the natural spaces of lovely Llananant Farm - with the horses, in the ancient woodlands, around the ponds and streams and in the wild edges, imaginatively exploring the questions you bring, the challenges you want to address and - together - the more attractive futures we want to bring to life.

*We are still able to consider sessions with papers for publication in the Special Issue of Gender in Management accompanying this gathering.

Am thrilled to bits that the magnificent Kate Mobbs-Morgan, Horse Logger and superstar, will be joining us (with Sol & Kip). Exploring gender and leadership, sustainable and radical actions, with her heavy horses in our ancient coppice woodlands, will - I am sure - generate creative insights and new possibilities. (Happy Birthday Kate!)

Sue this sounds fantastic and a crystalliser of thoughts I have been having this week. Thank you for organising this!
