The achievements of those featured in this year’s Women of Influence in Private Markets list highlight the myriad ways they are helping to shape the fast-changing alternatives landscape.
This week we published our annual Women of Influence in Private Markets list, featuring professionals covering key private markets, from Asia-Pacific to EMEA and the Americas. These women, who were selected by PEI Group editorial staff across various publications from over 500 industry nominations, are featured for the outsized impact they are having within their areas of practice, as well as for how they are influencing the broader private markets ecosystem and the fast-changing alternatives landscape.
And as an asset class, private equity is certainly going through a period of significant change. Market participants are grappling with issues such as high interest rates, a more challenging fundraising environment and intensifying regulatory scrutiny, to name but a few. At the same time, there are plenty of tailwinds to tap into, including an expanding investor base, advances in technology, growing market segments, such as secondaries, and promising investment areas, such as the decarbonisation space.
