Building Professional Networks With Intention

As the world continues to shift on its axis, the need for agility has never been more important for successful leaders to anticipate the needs of their employees, customers and community. As leadership evolves, the opportunities for women continue to grow, and while data shows that women and men lead differently–together they can be especially powerful! How we build our professional networks has never been more important to help guide us on our own personal leadership journeys.??

Intentional networking involves fostering trusted relationships. It is not about amassing contacts for the sake of it. Trust is built through community, shared contacts and shared experiences. Identifying individuals capable of opening doors and authentically engaging with them is key. Women and men in hospitality navigate leadership advancement in different ways–those we connect with are key to unlocking our full potential and can help direct us on the right path to what we individually define as success.??

The stakes are high and competition is greater than ever for the right leaders to emerge–and for current leaders to support them. The most successful people? understand that organizations live in “full technicolor” and that cultivating an environment where diverse voices are celebrated helps build out ecosystems that look to include larger stakeholder groups. Intellect is valuable, however looking at whole systems with innovation and curiosity and a visionary mindset is necessary. It may be time to disrupt the status quo and to lean into adaptive leadership styles together to help deliver results.

We will dive into these themes to help support women–bringing unique tools and strategies to help them advance, as well as power-up the organizations they work for during this year’s Women of Hospitality Conference set for November 17th at The Queen Theater in Wilmington. The speakers have been carefully curated and our workshops are specifically designed to help women think differently, engage, build intentional networks and foster community which is helping to redefine leadership with resilience, empathy and an unwavering commitment to growth and excellence.??

I look forward to sharing this incredible day with you!

Warm regards,
