Women and Golf

I look at it as a symbol of what women are capable of. Women playing Golf, I mean. The photograph shows four alumnae of NMIMS Bangalore who had dropped in at my office. I invited them to play Golf, which they never had earlier, and they readily agreed. We played a few shots and also shot some pics.

Before this, we had an orientation to Golf for all new students, who were joining on campus after COVID. Men and Women. They enjoyed it immensely. We also had a team of women Golfers among the faculty at NMIMS! Profs. Tanmeet Kaur, Prerona Baruah and Alisha Thomas were members!

We also tried this at IMT Nagpur, and Prestige University- introducing Golf to women students and faculty, and a few took it up with enthusiasm. Met one of them (from IMT) recently- Garima Shah. Still remembers that experience.

Empowering women and treating them as equals - there are many ways to do this, Golf being just one. Happy Women's Day to all women everywhere! Non-golfers included!
