Women Entrepreneurs- Need Of The Hour

In this brilliant period of globalisation and digitalization, India is plainly seeing an insurgency in women led business and female visionaries. The present businesswomen don't come distinctly from the laid out business families or from the higher-pay areas of the populace, they come from varying backgrounds and from every corner of the country.?

According to the Landscape Study on Women Entrepreneurship by EdelGive Foundation, 64% of the women reviewed started their own endeavours due to legitimate need, and because of their families' monetary conditions. Nonetheless, 63% likewise expect that the effect of their entrepreneurship adventures would bring about an improvement in their social conditions.?

Why do we need women entrepreneurs?

Business women work and strengthen the financial development of a country. Female visionaries motivate other women to kickstart their own organisations and startups. This prompts more labour creation for women which eventually helps in diminishing the gender gap in the labour force. Female business visionaries are bound to have the option to develop strong, independent attitudes among their own daughters. They can teach professional and fundamental abilities to people in the future and all the while utilise their pay to additionally work on their ways of life.

Women being are not only examples of progress for other women, but also for society and social orders in general. The progress of one individual, particularly a lady, holds the chance of having an impact on individuals' attitudes and patriarchal mindset. Noticing a female entrepreneur prevail in the monetary circle, can move different women to begin their endeavours and urge their families to help them as well.

According to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2021, India positions itself at 140th out of 153 nations. The commitment of Indian women to the GDP remains at 18% instead of the worldwide normal of 37%, with just 14% of women being entrepreneurs. We need to create an empowering and engaging environment for women to truly push them towards entrepreneurship. It is fundamental that we continue to work for all women across India, and give them equivalent chances to foster a healthy self-appreciation and self- worth, work on their monetary and social standing, and move independently through society.?

A Beacon Of Hope ?

There are many female entrepreneurs like Ila Kapoor Chaddah - Founder of Ziba by Hand, Sahithya Raj – Founder of Sweetooth, Ankita Kumawat – Matratva Dairy etc that keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive in India.?

Ziba by Hand arranges local designers and skilled workers who utilise customary Indian art and materials in an advanced manner, making sustainable clothing and stylistic layout while bringing back the rich legacy of Indian workmanship and handloom. It likewise cooperates with a community of creators and craftsmans that are given a fair stage to grow and develop their web stores and participate in its pop-ups and occasions. This is just one of the many examples of women entrepreneurs taking the forefront in innovation and leadership.?

We have to change the way women are seen in the entrepreneurial community and society in general . Support women in the home where family assumes a very essential part in the progress and development of ladies. We should continue to turn out enthusiastically for all women across India, giving them equivalent chances to earn enough to foster a healthy self-appreciation and worth, work on their monetary and social standing, and fully flourish in their independence.

Couldn’t agree more. As someone who’s now met with over 100 women entrepreneurs in the last 10 months, I feel so proud of how women are contributing to the society with different business models / products/ strategies / digital integration etc etc. even a small venture from their own kitchen goes a long way in passing positive outlook in the society.
