Women Consultants, Are You Talking Yourself Out Of Possibilities?

Women Consultants, Are You Talking Yourself Out Of Possibilities?

Welcome to today's edition of the Seven Figure Consultant LinkedIn Newsletter for Women in Consulting. Don't forget that you can get daily updates from Jessica in your LinkedIn news feed by accessing her LinkedIn profile and hitting Follow. She will be sharing insights and discussions through the week that she would love to hear your views on.

Have you ever come up with an idea and then the next day, you find you have talked yourself out of it? We let our limiting beliefs stop us from taking the leap.

You might be saying to yourself, ‘people like me will never hit 7 figures’. Or, ‘people like me will never be taken seriously.’ Perhaps, ‘people like me could never charge 500K for a single consulting contract.’ Yes charging 500K really is something you could do if you’ve just read that and it seemed like a mind-blowing amount of money.

We have the narrative of ‘no pain no gain’, and it being hard to make money, so we put our armour on and push ourselves as hard as we can. And because we think it has to be hard we can talk ourselves out of something which made us feel a real spark of joy when we came up with it.

You can nearly always make more money by creating something high-ticket and making less than 10 phone calls to sell it. We make it more complicated when we assume we have to mass-sell a low-ticket item. That’s a huge amount of work.

Plants don’t have to try to grow, they just grow, because it’s what they’re wired to do. There are things that make it easier for a plant to grow, like water, sunlight, soil and nutrients. And things that make it harder like other plants getting in the way, concrete paving stones, humans or animals destroying or eating them.

But if you want a rose bush to grow apples you’re always going to be disappointed.

Business growth doesn’t have to be a painful process. It can often reveal the personal development we need to do on the journey to become the version of ourselves we want and aspire to be.

Ultimately, we need 3 things to grow:

We need to get focused.

We need to get brave.

We need to get curious, and follow that spark of joy.

Let me know in the comments, what do you want to do in your business but fear might not work?

I've created a free PDF report called The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business. It’s my most popular free resource and in it I outline the 6 areas of unscaled businesses that need to change in order to move past being ‘booked up and burned out’ and shifting into that higher gear that gets you cruising again.

It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.

Sign up here for your PDF report, and I'll show you the six elements your consultancy needs to make the shift from a nice little 6-figure lifestyle business to a serious 7-figure enterprise.
