You’re going to have reacted to that headline in one of three ways:
If you haven’t considered podcasts, either as a guest, or having your own show, then I hope to convince you that they are a great tool for you as a woman consultant. I’ve hosted my podcast for almost 2 years now and I love it. One of the pleasures is the wonderful female consultants I get to interview on the show.?
But it’s also a great way to let people get to know you and hear what you think about topics in your field of expertise. If you don’t want your own show, then you can still get the benefit of sharing your wisdom and personality as a guest. And before you ask, yes, being interviewed on a podcast can help you attract corporate clients.
We tend to think of corporate firms as being iron fortresses where no-one comes in or out, as if they are closed off from the rest of the world, like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. That’s simply not true though. Corporate organisations are made up of people who also have lives. These people might listen on their commute to work. If they are working from home, then they still have washing up to do, which is boring, or a dog to walk, and they want to listen to something while they are doing it.
Even in the busiest person’s day, there will be pockets of time. We forget that people in corporate roles, including very senior ones, often feel very isolated. They are under a huge amount of pressure to deliver certain things day in, day out. If you can position yourself as a support or trusted advisor for them, that’s instantly going to raise your standing. They are already listening to what you have to say.?
This week on the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast my guest is Jessica Rhodes, the leading expert on how to leverage podcast guesting for increased brand awareness, more leads and higher profits. She created the podcast booking industry in 2013 when she founded Interview Connections, the first and leading agency of its kind.

Free Report - The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Consulting Business
I've created a free PDF report called The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business.?It’s my most popular free resource and in it I outline the 6 areas of unscaled businesses that need to change in order to move past being ‘booked up and burned out’ and shifting into that higher gear that gets you cruising again.
It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.
