There's a theory in gardening called ‘right plant, right place’. The idea is that if you plant something somewhere it is well suited, it will grow without needing too much.
A while ago I got a new wisteria and planted it in a nice sunny spot. We looked it up in a book and it said wisteria likes to be south facing with full sun. Well it had full sun - but unfortunately that area of the garden is northwest facing. My wisteria didn’t grow. It died.?
If someone could look you up in a book to see the optimum conditions for your growth, what would it say? Where is the place where you flourish the most?
So often, like my poor wisteria, we are put in conditions which don’t suit us. We’re encouraged to follow tactics and strategies that don’t align with our personalities. We can force ourselves to do them but they won’t necessarily work for us as well as they did for people who like selling or working in that way.
