Women Consultants, Here’s a Different Way to Write Sales Copy

Welcome to the latest edition of the Seven Figure Consultant LinkedIn Newsletter.?Don't forget that you can get daily updates from Jessica in your LinkedIn news feed?by accessing her LinkedIn profile and hitting Follow .?She will be sharing insights and discussions through the week that she would love to hear your views on.

Have you ever been given advice about how to do something in your business and thought, ‘no, I don’t agree with that’?

One area my clients find this happening is copywriting. They’re told to tap into people’s fears and ask themselves what’s keeping them up at night. Why can’t they sleep? Or what do they wake up at 3am worrying about??

The first rule of sales copy is always given as using scarcity. But if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that one of the things I teach is that we want to tap into abundance, not scarcity.?

We serve our audience by making our products available and by using good marketing to make them noticeable so people sign up for the thing that is going to help them and change their life.?Agitating pain points can be a useful thing if we do it responsibly. But if you're really tapping into big life fears and saying, that's going to happen to you, unless you do what I say, that is actually manipulation.?

One of the things my clients say the most often when we talk about copywriting and marketing, is, ‘I've seen it done this way and I don't want to do that’. And you don’t have to. You don’t have to spin stories of doom and use manipulation. You can choose to share a positive message instead.

My guest on the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast this week is best-selling, award-winning fiction and nonfiction author Michele PW. She is the author of 5 books in the "Love-Based Business" series that share how to sell more with love and build a solid, profitable business on a foundation of love. In addition, she owns a copywriting and marketing company that has sold nearly $50M worth of products and services.?

It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.

Sign up here for your PDF report, and I'll show you the six elements your consultancy needs to make the shift from a nice little 6-figure lifestyle business to a serious 7-figure enterprise.

Jessica Fearnley this is an incredible article. Jessica, as a business owner and Podcaster, how do you what guests to choose? I am asking because I am brand new to podcasting and I've heard only choose guests who address your niche target audience. But what your article says made me think in another way. It is true that if we don't things a certain way, it is manipulation. Thank you for posting this for me.
