Women Connect recap - Mornings that Matter with Dr. Kerry Petsinger

As you wake up each morning, how do you start your day? For many of us, we do the usual things – brush our teeth, comb our hair, eat breakfast (if we’re lucky) and rush out the door to make it to work on time during the morning rush. Many working people in our communities are also parents. Add helping a child or children with all of those responsibilities too, along with driving them to school or daycare – it can be a lot to manage.

By time you get to work, it’s as if you’ve already run a marathon! It can be hard to be excited about your day with a crazy morning like that. But what if we told you it’s possible to set up your day for success, whereas you feel purposeful, empowered and driven?

Don’t just take it from us. Take it from Dr. Kerry Petsinger, high performance coach, physical therapist and creator of Mornings that Matter?, the research-based, 10-minute morning mindset routine to start each day feeling unstoppable.

In case you missed it, on Tuesday, April 25, Petsinger took the stage to inspire and empower the Women Connect Community. For this event, The Chamber events team wanted to bring in someone to inspire and empower the Women Connect community. Petsinger’s routine strategies are used by Olympic athletes and other world-class peak performers to master their inner game and achieve high levels of performance without burnout. While we may not all be Olympic athletes, I think we can all agree that we would appreciate any help we could get mastering our skills as friends, partners, parents and employees.

Dr. Petsinger gave an empowering presentation that left attendees feeling inspired and excited. While we can’t give all of her secrets away, we would like to share with you a few key takeaways that will hopefully encourage you to attend her next event or ours!

“Petsinger greatly emphasized the importance of a powerful morning routine and backed herself up by sharing information about celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and athletes like Michael Phelps. Everyone she researched had commonalities in their strong sense of purpose and passion. Every single person had a power morning routine.

It starts with the very beginning of your morning. How do you want your day to go? “What we look for is what we see,” said Petsinger. “Whatever we want to see, we can teach our brains to see.”

Be intentional with your morning routine and you too can live your life feeling purpose-driven, powerful, present and productive.
