We hosted a compelling event in Brisbane focusing on "Opportunities and Challenges for Queensland in the Lead Up to the 2032 Olympics." This engaging gathering was proudly presented by WiBF, in collaboration with our esteemed partners 澳新银行 and Ashurst .
Brisbane proudly holds the title of Host City for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with anticipated benefits of $8.1 billion to Queensland, as outlined by KPMG in 2021, including a substantial economic boost of $4.6 billion to tourism and trade, and $3.5 billion in social benefits. The event provided valuable insights into the intricate landscape that Queensland faces as it prepares for the upcoming Olympics. We extend our gratitude to all participants for contributing to the success of this event, and we look forward to continued collaboration in addressing the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for the region. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to ANZ and Ashurst for your support and providing the opportunity to have meaningful discussions among fellow professionals in the Banking and Finance industry.
