Introducing our WiBF 2023 National Industry Award Judges

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our 15 esteemed judges who dedicated their valuable time and expertise to the evaluation process of WiBF 2023 National Industry Awards. Their unwavering commitment and meticulous attention to detail ensured a fair and thorough assessment of the outstanding submissions we received. This year, WiBF has received over 250 nominations, a new record.

The breadth of their industry knowledge, coupled with their discerning judgment, played a pivotal role in identifying the most deserving individuals and organisations across various categories. We are immensely grateful for their invaluable contributions and commend their dedication to excellence within our industry. Their expertise and discernment have undoubtedly elevated the integrity and prestige of our awards program.

The awards judging panel is reviewing all nominations across each award category, from which they will select the winners. The top 5 finalists in each category will be announced in our next newsletter in 2 weeks.

Michele Bullock appointed first female Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia .

Michele Bullock has been appointed as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, becoming the first woman to hold the influential position in the bank’s 63-year history.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made the announcement this morning. It comes as Philip Lowe’s seven-year term as Reserve Bank Governor comes to an end.
