In 2012, Dr. Katie Polsky and Shelley Tirsbeck, LMFT, joined forces to create Vantage Point Center for Psychotherapy, a warm and welcoming group psychotherapy practice nestled in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. Disorders. The journey hasn't been without its challenges. The mental health landscape has shifted dramatically in the past few years because of the pandemic and the rise of virtual therapy platforms. Faced with increasing competition and operational costs, we've remained nimble, adapting our strategies to maintain our commitment to our community and staff. Their dedication to providing a positive work environment for their staff has been central to navigating these challenges successfully.As of 2024, their team has flourished to encompass 22 valuable and passionate individuals, each contributing their unique expertise and dedication. This growth reflects their commitment to diversity, inclusion, and delivering specialized care aligned with their core values and mission.The SBA Solution for them was an SBA 504 real estate loan. The SBA’s team was incredibly helpful in walking us through the steps to get approved.?“Their support has enabled us to secure a building in a location that is representative of our values and to help shield us against inflationary pressures and escalating rental costs”, said Dr. Katie Polsky. The SBA loan facilitated their acquisition of a building in the heart of Midtown Sacramento, a vibrant area known for its diversity. This move not only addressed rising rental costs but also provided stability for their operations. Furthermore, it enabled them to create a warm and inviting space for the clients, aligning with their commitment to support and inclusivity. This financial support played a crucial role in their growth trajectory, empowering them to expand their reach and deepen their impact in the community.Under Dr. Polsky's and Ms. Tirsbeck's leadership, their doctoral training program has become a beacon of excellence, attracting talented students from across the nation and nurturing the next generation of psychologists.
