For a Woman I Do Not Name

Her eyes were the first thing I noticed
Not her breasts, her waist or even her hair
But her eyes that sparkled with questions
And could see answers when none were there
Her body so slim, her shape so delicately sharp
Her voice is so soft while her soul is so marred
I am nervous about what words I speak to her
For my body gets both so weak and so hard?
She told me what her name was that night
But I realized I had forgotten it by sunrise
Sure I had tried to be different and special
But in the end was just "one of those guys"
Perhaps one day she will see all the clues
Catch wind of my true desire and intention
But till then she remains an unfulfilled dream
While my love and yearning go unmentioned.
