Entrepreneurship has been considered as a progressive idea in the business word and an important driver of economic growth, women are generally perceived as home makers with little to do with economy or commerce but this picture has changed and as we all know that woman has achieved a great progress in the workplace over the past decades. However, the gender should play little to no role when it comes to business and such essential objectives.
Yes, we have the capacity to occupy any position in your company, we can work in sales, marketing, engineering, management, education fields and we are able to take roles and responsibilities. We are productive exactly as our counterparts, so the overall work environment in the future should be free of discrimination but unfortunately our workplace still suffer from the gender gap. Every woman should face the gender discrimination by fighting her way up to a leadership role without being hesitant. Woman has acquired recently many achievements, she owned entities in the formal sector approximately 37% of the world’s enterprises, and more than 90% of companies that focus on solving social problems have at least one woman on their leadership team and it is expected that over half of all new business jobs created in the next five years will come from business started by women.
The concept of “ Woman in leadership” has been an effective strategy to solve any social problems such as facing poverty , and her role as an entrepreneur has been relevant in the situation of large scale unemployment that many countries face. Moreover, Woman entrepreneur faces some problems before achieving their goals such as: lack of family support, Lack of capital and financial support, and sometimes the lack of confidence in herself.
Besides the family and moral support every person can help a woman who possess the leadership potential to find their opportunities and achieving their dreams.
Furthermore, the media should play a major role in inspiring entrepreneurship and providing a suitable roadmap, also the government must evolve appropriate policies to help women entrepreneurs, in addition to offering credit facilities.
