Woman Crush Wednesday: Amy Goldin

My #WCW today is a Broward County LIFER and true advocate for our community, Amy Goldin!

Amy is a lawyer and business owner who has stepped up to support our most vulnerable populations—before and now during COVID19.

 Amy was instrumental in the formation of Voices for Children of Broward County and served as its Founding Board Chair. This organization advocates for and supports children in the foster care system. Having served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem, she was familiar firsthand with some of both the needs and wishes of abused, neglected and abandoned children who have been removed from their homes and placed in the care and custody of the state.  Through her continued work with Voices for Children, Amy is able to help meet some of the basic life and educational needs of some of the most vulnerable children in Broward County and to give them positive and happy social experiences with the hope they will prosper and grow into healthy, thriving and successful adults. Amy has additionally served in many capacities over the years as a volunteer with various local and national organizations, including Jewish Federation, the David Posnack Jewish Day School, and the NCSY Women’s Mentorship Initiative.   She currently is a registered volunteer with the Emergency Volunteers Project, volunteers with the JFS Food Pantry, and sits on the Broward Executive Council of AIPAC.

Amy earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and ultimately formed her own firm, Amy H. Goldin, P.A., specializing in real estate and corporate law, and, with her husband Brian Strelitz, formed HH Property Strategic, which provides property management services to institutional trustees with real estate assets. 

 This weekend, Amy and her family will be spearheading a large food drive in her neighborhood to help fill two local food pantries that have had a huge increase in need.  Thank you, Amy, for all that you are doing for these children and for our community at large! You are a true SHEro!
