As established, in The Woman, part of the secret identity to being The Woman is to perpetually grow; further explanation was found in The Woman Continues as “Perpetually Grow” was listed as the core value that all other values stem from. It’s important to pause, reflect and acknowledge the heavy, lifelong pursuit… perpetual growth. For to recognize the need alone; is a noble and note worthy cause that most would never succumb due to the choice to live in the belief they had either reached the pinnacle, or that they will never feel nor see the value in the relentless pursuit of growth – so they choose to remain static.
Expectation Management
The Woman understands she must learn to see herself how other's see her while maintaining the strength, dignity, and purpose to remember why she has chosen to perpetually grow. In an increasingly demanding, want it now, society, this can present many difficulties, challenges, and roadblocks that potentially, if allowed to interfere, will inhibit a woman from ever becoming The Woman. This isn’t the place to get stuck. How do you then manage growth expectations?
The Woman is able to manage expectations by first setting healthy boundaries with herself, her family, and those she is subject too due to her chosen lifestyle, career, volunteer efforts, future goals, and, of course, random life encounters. She anticipates the difficulties, challenges, and roadblocks and is mindful that others may not value her true intentions. Lastly, she views every situation, opportunity, or life happenstance to be an intrinsic part of her choice to perpetually grow; whether it be the voice of a child or one she holds in the highest regard; she accepts the knowledge; utilizing it to push the needle forward.
Parallel Universe
Are you able to see yourself how others see you, or do you feel that you’re living a facade? It can’t be smoke and mirrors… In choosing to be The Woman, she must be willing to look in the mirror and to accept and embrace the image in front of her. It is ok to feel like an impostor, in fact, this is where the greatest attribute, humility, stems from.
This isn’t a "snapchat" moment but a real look and understanding of who and what you are going to become. The morals and fabric that enable you to be The Woman are the very morals you may find yourself wrestling with. Still, the fact remains that you ultimately win the battle over and over again. The Woman won’t ever see the accolades in overcoming and achieving these silent victories; there are no awards that will ever speak to her silent turmoil but her mission continues through the lives she knows she is touching because, again, she has the ability to see herself how others see her and she won’t stop fighting to persevere her very essence – becoming The Woman.
Ownership of Growth
The Woman takes ownership of her growth by establishing developmental pathways, while maintaining a willingness to learn whether in form of education, certification, or in hearing from the voice of a child. She understands that with growth comes change and this concept is where the rubber meets the road - to have the ability to demonstrate through action of word and deed. She isn’t characterized as a chameleon, rather viewed as one who is growing with purpose and intent – her life’s work defines her character and drive to live for something that’s greater than herself.
You won’t find The Woman bragging on her growth methodologies nor lacking the ability to articulate the recent book she read. You won’t find her in church every Sunday with the same revelations that yield to a different lifestyle come Monday. You won’t find her continually speaking on a subject that never goes beyond her opinion. You see, The Woman has taken ownership of her growth; understanding the critical element of limited time, and her desire to perpetually grow is so that she can… Stand for Another.

5 年My worst career disappointments have come from the hands of a woman, not a man, ensuring those ceilings stay in place. I have vowed to be among those that lift as they rise, not block the exit path. So many balls being juggled as we do our best work at work. I see you, other woman, making it work with everything else we keep in motion. Grateful for the strong supportive women in my world, who have always had my back Chaunte Myers, MPA Sharon Harbaugh Jill Patterson, MBA

5 年As I travel the nation with Centurion Military Alliance (CMA) with passion and dedication to truly serve, I unfortunately am witness to the real struggles of Women in the workforce. Take a look at this article from Money! I have chosen to write this Women Series to highlight and showcase positive relevancy of the impact The Women can make. The Women I am blessed to know, to be mentored by and to work alongside are charging the way for our Future Generation! The Women stand firm and continue to motivate and inspire despite the negativity that surrounds them. Women have to ask themselves when reading articles about the Wall Street movement “Are you trustworthy? Are you instigating this movement? Are you striving to be The Woman of honor and standing for ALL with Equality despite the circumstances? Are you sitting in the seat of judgement or are you striving to inspire?” What we do today will greatly impact our future; and I, personally, am well aware of current trends in raising my son and daughter.
