A woman asks: What if you’re first love was the ‘one’ and you let him go? All the others have been meaningless, voids to fill time. Living life realizes the first love could never be replaced.
The first love is significant in the living process since at this stage there is no previous knowledge of such a rapturous and life-affirming experience. Consequently there are no inhibitions preventing the psychic opening to the full potency of the attraction. The sheer wonder, beauty and vibrancy of being alive is enhanced by the presence of the other.
The young girl, in particular, is prone to give herself completely to the love of the other without thought or care for the consequences. In this lies the seed of destruction and inevitable heartbreak which she will carry inside for the remainder of the life, or until transformed by the power of love itself. What happened was that she was looking for love whereas the man was looking for sex. And if the love was beautiful and the divine connection was made, he left her soon after and, in doing so, made her self-doubtful as to the purpose of love in existence.
The assumption that he was the ‘one’, although true in the moment, is not the whole truth – that is, unless the union demonstrated a love that endures as the unwavering knowledge of having been reached at the deepest centre by a source of unmistakable power and purity. Such a union leaves no sadness or sorrow in its wake and serves to affirm the purpose of love in whoever has been touched by the benediction of divine love in existence. If this is the case than you are indeed blessed. But such love is not subject to the whims of the person and the caprice of emotions which ‘let go of a lover’ and then lament the choices made. When love is made conscious, there are no feelings of sadness, hurt or regret should the bodies need to part or separate.
What happens in most instances is that the beauty and exhilaration of the first love is impressed upon the psychic self as a shadow of its former radiance. Each new love and attraction brings this replica of the first love to life in varying degrees of illumination. The psychic charge of expectation and stimulation at the prospect of love short-circuits the natural wisdom and discrimination to access the worthiness of a potential suitor. A woman often abandons her command of love and goes on to have her heart broken repeatedly – or compromises for someone who measures up in some way to the innocence of her original vision of love in the flesh.

Each lover is potentially ‘the one’ since no other exists which can be affirmed at any moment by the singular pronoun, I am. Existence is not unlike a game of hide and seek with all the players desperately looking to find completion from the endless search for their missing part. Love is the point of existence, the original state of being manifest in the flesh. Everyone is looking for love and when they find it, or what resembles this divine essence, the impulse is to hold onto it and never let it go. But unless love is let go every moment it degenerates in potency to an emotional force which becomes attached to the form or object that is cherished in the world.
The fundamental lesson of love is that I, whoever I am, will suffer should I become attached to the other. And without exception, everyone suffers to begin with due to the hurts and disappointment of the first love. Only through having experienced the loss and sorrow of personal love can the individual know within the depths of the being what will no longer be tolerated in their relationships. Honesty to love means being conscious of anything which would sully the harmony between partners or in any relationship which impacts upon the living life. In this way the personal attachments are transcended by serving a higher love not dependent on the fluctuation of the emotional self. ??????
