I'm Right and You are Wrong! Disruptive Innovation
"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips – Bible
Ever reach a point where everyone else is wrong, and you are right?
Spend some time researching Sam Walton, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. What is one thing they have in common?
Some might simplify it by saying they were at the right place, at the right time.
Sure! The streets are littered with those with similar ideas who failed!
Try again!
How about disruptive innovation?
Going against the flow, Sam Walton quote, “Swim upstream, go the other way, and ignore the conventional wisdom.
At some point people run out of time. Stubbornness replaces persistence.
I’m not there yet, but as I age, I recognize that every time I go to a doctor, I’m at the early stages of something new.
So not to be repetitive, meaning here I go again, there appears to be some cracks, in the armor. Those wanting to right a wrong!
Review:
1.????Task force has gotten it wrong
2.????Mayor has gotten it wrong
3.????Chamber has gotten it wrong
4.????#believeboonecounty has gotten it wrong
5.????All the cottage industry variations with diversity or race attached, have gotten it wrong
6.????All the local, state, and national media have gotten it wrong, due to digital revolution, and cutting of research journalism. All racial info comes from SPLC.
7.????Why pay for newspapers, and news services who only parrot tabloids, social media, and one unverified source on racism?
I spent 2 ? years researching and have written over 100 articles.
Again the reason I took this on independently, self-funded, in August of 2019; was the impending visit of a CEO from the Netherlands; representing a healthcare tech company.
I stated in time stamped articles my interest was all about capitalism. Finding and identifying the guilty parties. My research was unbiased, independent, and self-capitalized.
For the umpteenth time – not speculation on unfounded rumors, just the facts!
Starting to see some cracks in the armor! There are journalists who want to "Right a Wrong!" Could it be a Pulitzer?
Background: (including my credentials)
1.????John Porter , Local on capitalism –“I just believe you are wrong in your facts and opinion. You speak as though those who are involved in Asset Management groups are in some way like illegal aliens. Well, the ones I am familiar with are all American citizens and businesspeople who are participating in the American Free Enterprise system known as Capitalism”. See Appendix A for full post.
Attention John Porter,
You mentioned working in sales at Mass Merchandisers, which I recall, and I’m friends with Mike Hodges (managed operations and warehouse); who’s educated me on the MMI organizational chart. Tommy Rogers, J D Erwin, and Frank Conner were listed under the key people.
As far as credentials of actual cases involving investments in local (or other) companies, asset management groups, or others that you have been involved, I’m still perplexed? Wisdom comes from good and bad experiences, not theory; and can only acquired through experience. Smart Governance was started to discuss actual experiences, not theoretical gobbledygook!
Sidebar: You might enlighten readers on specific name of large college involved in your article Wake Up America, professor name, exchange students, native country, fighting communists, wild pigs, etc.? Author Unknown ? AOAUSA and Sean Hannity Facebook among many others - some mentioned it was a parable? A usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude.
Note: Any fictitious stories not accompanied by actual recorded events will be removed in the future. Administrator
As far as naming names, both Tom and Jason Robb use VK, Russian version of Facebook, to communicate activities from their hate groups all identified by SPLC, reaching 11 in 2015. Address is in downtown Harrison. Communists always look for the weakest link. No matter if it turns up in the Ozarks. Locals connected with Robb's can be identified by public record filings and the dark web. Reminder all the unproven, vague things posted about Harrison is what created my investigation in the first place, it happens when you post something without transparency.
Also, as to when you moved to Harrison, from where, and why? Other than job at Mass Merchandiser, what’s your other actual anecdotal business experience relative to asset management groups? ?Mass Merchandisers was bought by an industry leader, McKesson, not by an AMG.
In the true spirit of capitalism, and entrepreneurship I’ve had to reinvent myself several times. Recently recognized statewide as a pioneer in computing.
1985- 2004, Technology company with sales in over 50 countries. Dealing with diverse cultures. Many making successful trips to Harrison.
From 2005-2012,I split time between Harrison and Little Rock, as a financial advisor.
As a 60 year old financial advisor (passed all the tests, ethics, and fiduciary duties, etc.) worked with investment bankers, also; so I know the good, the bad, and the ugly about asset management groups. Inside and out!
I know when they work and when they don’t work.
I understand applied capitalism better than those espousing theory, I lived it; and worked for some of the biggest capitalists in the world – UBS, and MetLife. Globally I sold systems to billionaires all over the world, so not intimidated. All would be considered ultimate capitalists. All with stories, and egos. One lived in Saipan. The “H” in DHL Freight, world’s largest logistics company. John Kluge, world richest person at the time, owner of Metromedia installed our system in several USSR countries. Even a Russian executive, with KGB background, visited Harrison. I never mentioned my background with CIA.
Research my battle with Paul Allen (Microsoft), Google it. How asset management group "stole" a company from stockholders, allowing Paul Allen to declare a sham bankruptcy to reorganize Charter, so stock went to 0 (zero). Now selling for $600 a share. UBS stock analysts were pumping the stock, while their investment banking group was working with new company (AMG supported) “CHTR” in its restructure. All the bank failures in 2008 created a smokescreen, and allowed it to happen; along with timely money from lobbyists.?Sometimes there’s a fine line between capitalism and theft. If you spend time getting into the weeds.
My extensive background in cable entered into the class action suit creating state and national attention. Questioning ethics, and fiduciary duties became problematic. Only applied to advisors, not their companies?
Following observations, and conclusions are generated from a lifetime of business and economic development.
·??????I have worked with Pace (Gaddy,Ardemagni), Claridge (Walter McNew), and Johnson Manufacturing (Clyde and Jean Johnson)
Most of their profits will now leave Harrison, and many new executive positions will likely operate outside Harrison. Difference in AMG and merging with an industry leader. John, you have never convinced me, you know the difference.?My view, based on timing, and the obvious preferences given to Pace by city and chamber, there was an unnecessary urgency in Claridge and Johnson selling, Parties involved will not comment until all conditions of buyout are met , and payments are received. Impact of pandemic is unknown. But this would not be the optimum time to sell. Buyers’ market. Pace is the X factor.
?John Porter – (Repeat)
Waiting for your details? “I am familiar with”? Any specifics? Lot of gobbledygook! Facts please?
?2.????John Porter– “Sure, I wish all Harrison businesses were owned by local citizens, as you do, but we both know that is not the world we live in. I certainly disagree with you that Harrison is reaching the point of no return.”
Herb response
Totally missed my point. Selling to “industry leaders” can be great. All in the 60's did! Another job I had was an Operations Research Analyst at Ashland Oil (1970-74), a billion dollar company involved in acquisitions. When companies acquire companies, the objective is to expand products and markets. Clearly different objective, and make- up than AMG. Also understand the complexities, and eliminate duplications. In 1974 McClinton (local company) sold McClinton Anchor Construction to Ashland Oil Co., and he retired four years later, although he continued to go to the office for numerous more years. After selling the company, David McClinton became president of the McClinton Anchor division of Ashland Oil. I worked on this prior to my return to Harrison.
Technology can be an equalizer for starting a business anywhere, and competing.
The 1960’s was an example of entrepreneurs, and a time before all the newcomers (last 20-30-40 years).
When I began my computer accounting service bureau in Harrison I worked with many companies that I am referencing – including Pace and Claridge.?Started in 1975.
After computer service bureau ran its course. Computers got cheaper, and businesses bought their own computer. I founded a technology company selling cable TV software systems in Arkansas, nationally, and globally. I competed successfully against the market leader, so they came to me to discuss ways we could work together. Value is much higher if they come to you.
As an entrepreneur, I sold my technology company to the industry leader (1994), when personally it would have been much better to have gone the asset management group (AMG) route via Silicon Valley. Highest bidder! It was better for my employees, and Harrison to sell to industry leader. However, I was given the opportunity to do global business development. CableData created a wholly owned subsidiary CUO, in which I was President. A lifetime of experiences traveling the globe. The way Harrison has turned out, my failure to move to Sacramento or sell to an AMG is becoming a big regret!
?3.????John Porter “I also disagree that the reason for Harrison being known as the "most racist city" is due to the mainstream media and national TV shows. Yes, they are absolutely continuing to perpetuate and sell the notion, but I believe (my opinion) that several of our own so called civic leaders are the most responsible for that "moniker" being promoted. The national media had to get the idea from somewhere to start with. And it came from 4 or 5 people, principally, right here in Harrison. A former mayor made it one of his main projects, and he received a great deal of help from people in the Chamber of Commerce. I attended one meeting, my last, where a hanging that took place over 100 years ago was being discussed. The discussion was disgusting. A lady who used to work for me in sales at Mass Merchandisers (McKesson) was conducting the meeting. I remember asking her that night after the meeting what was the purpose of such a meeting. Her reply was, to help people to know that Harrison is racist and needs to be fixed. In her, and others, minds because of some people in town who probably are racists, the entire city must be. The people I'm talking about have promoted us as a racist city for so long the national media has picked up on it and ran with it. In my opinion, if our local "leaders" would just stop talking about it and keeping it in everybody's face, the younger generation would allow it to disappear. But these same people are convincing the younger people we are a racist city.”

Sorry John, just a lot more gobbledygook. Everybody steps around the Klan like it doesn’t exist or if it does, “they have their rights”. Based on filing at Arkansas Secretary of State their address is same as the KKK general counsel, 220 W Stephenson Ave, Harrison, AR 72601.
"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips – Bible
"O, woe is me!" This line is from Shakespeare. When Hamlet scorns Ophelia, she utters these words to express the grief and despair that will soon drive her to suicide.
My mention of the 1960’s and Sam Walton comments was more about the community pride, and vibrancy that has been marred over recent years by the “most racists city in the US” moniker.
·??????Unfortunately, much like other people who moved here in past 10-20-30-40 years, you all have gotten it wrong.
When did you move to Harrison, from where, and why?
People who ran businesses in the 1960’s knew the history of Harrison, and made no attempt to hide or cover anything up! There was nothing to cover up!
All the “recent” people, after the 1960’s, have just accepted all the crap! Created a “cottage industry” apologizing for everything! Get real!
Reality is it’s not about the history, it’s about covering up the present! Hint: KKK, Klan, or Knights – it’s all the same! Unfortunately the results are catastrophic.
?I spent 2 ? years researching and have written over 100 articles.
Again the reason I took this on independently, self-funded, in August of 2019; was the impending visit of a CEO from the Netherlands; representing a healthcare tech company.
I stated in time stamped articles my interest was all about capitalism. Finding and identifying the guilty parties. My research was unbiased, independent, and self capitalized.
In advance of the CEO visit I Googled Harrison and got a big negative surprise.
My conclusion is not what you stated “due to the mainstream media and national TV shows”. If you read my first article September 1, 2019 you might find that was only my initial thought.
I have taken it much further than perceptions. I have determined the root cause, and the only way it can be fixed.
Clue: who knows how to fool SPLC? Hint: years ago he dressed up like a news reporter, and attempted to access key people at SPLC in Montgomery, Alabama. Also has arranged for a lot of fake interviews with local officials, which made YouTube. Brought UK tabloids to area for an infomercial. Found it was easier to fool the experts than attempting to fool those (individually) who depend on the experts. Outsmarted again. How many times have I heard from locals (all making money from them) that they have rights! It’s been determined they have cost community over a billion dollars with those rights!
Why has local community leaders become co-conspirators? At what personal financial risks?
For the umpteenth time – not speculation on unfounded rumors, just the facts! (remember Dragnet?)
Five easy steps to cost a community one billion dollars
1. Put up racists billboards protected by 1st Amendment rights. Really? (No matter Klan uses VK Russian Facebook clone when discussing clandestine activities, or they have rights, what can we do? By local leaders)? The FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. should handle that! Get financing from local banks? Even though the source of hate groups identified nationally by the SPLC, no matter! What local bank(s) financed the billboards? It’s public knowledge on record.
2. Create 11 Harrison area hate groups with essentially the same address and phone number, demonstrating the simple ways to outsmart the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) vetting process. (See point 3 before giving Robb's too much credit)
3. Get SPLC to accept them as unique hate groups (SPLC donations increase by having more hate groups). SPLC is the primary authority on racism by tech companies, major mainstream news, and social media (including Wikipedia). There is never a second opinion.
4. Send Knights (Klan, KKK) Party emails and/or press releases (or better yet invite tabloids to Zinc for a YouTube infomercial) communications to (British) tabloids, noting Harrison has more hate groups (created by Robb) than other cities (hence the most racists).UK tabloids hate the US.
5. Then it gets published. I'm sure Robb couldn't believe how gullible (You Can't Fix Stupid... Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. - Mark Twain) and easy it would be! Klan is one family but sells papers.
HATE GROUPS for journalists doing research on the 11 hate groups listed under Harrison and Boone County in 2015 creating moniker "most racists city in US". Even a novice reporter can track them back to one family Thomas Robb.
1. CHRISTIAN REVIVAL CENTER
2. HERITAGE CONNECTION
3. KINGDOM IDENTITY MINISTRIES
4. KKKRADIO
5. KNIGHTS OF THE KU KLUX KLAN
6. KNIGHTS PARTY VETERANS LEAGUE
8. OZARK CRAFT LC
9. SOLDIERS OF THE CROSS TRAINING INSTITUTE
10. THOMAS ROBB MINISTRIES
11. WHITE PRIDE HOME SCHOOL RESOURCE CENTER
Where was the mainstream media, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Harrison Daily Times, local officials, mayor, county judge, community task force, Chamber of Commerce, and cottage industries, when SPLC released their annual hate map in 2015? Every year? Klan (Robb family) has it on its calendar! They understood impact, and hopes of creating membership, and sale of racists inventory. Again guess You Can't Fix Stupid... Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. - Mark Twain
SPLC is the recognized national expert on hate groups, and racism!
Current data about Harrison and community are clear indicators Harrison has reached the point of no return. Low unemployment, high poverty rate, high ranking on food stamps, jobs primarily suited for lower middle class, no entrepreneurs (high tech, high pay), and creation of job pool for lower pay retail, manufacturing, and factory jobs.
Luke 9:5: “And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”
Facts: (Not opinions)
The 'Boiling Frog' syndrome is based on an urban legend describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is simple: if a frog is suddenly put into a pot of boiling water, it will jump out and save itself from impending death. But, if the frog is put in lukewarm water, with the temperature rising slowly, it will not perceive any danger to itself and will be cooked to death.
?John, arguing theory is no longer of interest, unless you can furnish credentials from your actual experiences!
Much like those who don’t know, and can’t defend Harrison history, they have been exposed. Not unlike your knowledge of asset management groups.
