Witnessing the Death of the Environmental Industrial Complex.

We are witnessing the death of the Environmental Industrial Complex, as push comes to shove, many enterprises are now demonstrating that Sustainability, Environmental and Social Corporate Responsibility agendas have been nothing more that attempts to create competitive advantage. https://tinyurl.com/ya8kob8f

A means of weaving intricate complexity into simplicity to divide and rule over the 'Little Guy' who didn't 'get' the confusing messages being put out by the 'superior types' who thought, and said, they knew best, producing mountains of research, thesis, books and methodologies in an attempt to prove the Green Agenda is not the mirage it is.

Although the Environmental Industrial Complex is now being dragged into the light kicking and screaming at a film like ‘Planet of the Humans’ we now know that there are no ‘Green’ technologies, enterprises, products and services, only those that add Essential Value to Society and those that don’t.

Now the reality of the Essential Value Economy by negligence is upon us because of COVID-19, these agendas are being abandoned like rats off a sinking ship, and only those societies and enterprises that can identify, enable and maximise the creation of Essential Value to Society over time, at continually reducing Loss to Society, will survive. The Environmental Industrial Complex as currently constituted is not one of these entities.

If Government and these enterprises had recognised that Sustainable Development was about QUALITY improvement at system level, BigQ, instead of being seduced by the Snake-Oil patter of the ‘Green Illusionists’ these past 25 years, they would have been better placed to weather this storm and the greater one coming. The one resulting from the immutable reduction in the Energy, Resource Intensity of, and Sink availability to, societies.

Many individuals are now recognising that what they were doing in the 'old normal' was not essental or fulfilling and are looking to enable 'essential change' in themselves. https://tinyurl.com/ybcckgg9

The Environmental Industrial Complex needs to do the same. These definitions will act as guiding stars.

‘Essential Value is that which, if equitably distributed, enables an adequate Quality of Life and maximises the Spiritual Fulfilment and Well-Being of all citizens.’

‘BigQ is that which maximises that Essential Value to Society available over time through the creation of Goods and Services at continually reducing Loss to Society.’

‘Sustainable Development is the never-ending journey of continual improvement towards perfect Quality at system level, BigQ.’

If, in the limit, only Essential Value is created and consumed without loss, then the present and future is secured as required of the original UNEP definition.

Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.’
