Witcher Force Main Slipline
CEC evaluated multiple alternative methods to re-line 800-foot-long segments of existing 36” and 42” sewer force mains that the City of Oklahoma City discovered were leaking. These two force mains are critical facilities and became an emergency project as a result. Work had to be coordinated with closing and realigning one pipe at a time to avoid backup at the lift station. CEC provided engineering services and full construction inspection for this project.
These 36” and 42” force mains serve as a critical link in Oklahoma City’s largest sewer shed (50,000 acres). Essentially, these force mains push sewage uphill to a point where it can finally flow by gravity the remainder of the way to the treatment plant.
From collection to treatment to distribution to reuse, CEC is committed to efficient and dependable water distribution and wastewater solutions. Want to learn more about our capabilities? Click below.
"It was exciting to work on such a critical piece of infrastructure. Truly, these are the sorts of projects I dreamed of being a part of when I was young." – Kyle Morse, P.E., Project Manager
