Wish You Knew How to Stop Feeling Drained? There’s a Lot You Can Do

I work with empaths, many of whom are awakening to their own spirituality.
A common problem for many empaths is feeling?drained by the end of their day.??They are not sure why this happens to them and?wish they how to stop the drain (mental, emotional, and physical) that comes over them in life.?
What does “draining your energy” mean?
Imagine waking up feeling energized and ready to go. On a scale of 1 to 10, your energy is at a 10. You go to work and when you’re finished with your day, your energy level is a 6 out of 10.?This is typical; a long day of work and interactions uses our energy.??
After an evening of personal activities, you get a good night’s sleep, wake up the next morning with a 9 or 10 energy level. You are again, ready for your day.
But?what if??you found yourself in the company of a coworker who loves drama/conflict, or a boss who is dissatisfied with unrealistic expectations, or a friend whose hidden insecurities make them lash out at others?
In all three scenarios, you are unable to relax into conversations that are safe and easy.
You are on your toes – managing expectations, emotions, and thoughts as you engage with these individuals during the day.??Without specific training and skills, most people would feel drained by the end of the day – returning home at a 2 out of 10 energy level – with very little left for personal priorities and tasks.
Consequences of Feeling Drained
If draining dynamics continue for an extended amount of time – your life – your physical wellness, relationships, and your sense of inner success will suffer.?One morning you find yourself waking up at only a 6 out of 10 energy level – your body is unable to recover after a full night of sleep.??
You might experience the following:?
Being imbalanced means you are vulnerable in many ways. Perceptions, minor inconveniences, or difficult news can trigger an overwhelming emotional response. You may find yourself challenged to be present for your children, maintain order in your home, and feeling as if you’re not in control. In short order, you feel hopeless and?lack the energy?to make meaningful changes.
Does this sound familiar or relatable to you?
You are not alone. Most people have not been taught about “energetic” boundaries, how to deal with negative people and situations, or stay strongly connected to their heart. Equally important is learning to manage their emotions and energy body.
If you’re reading this – you’re ready to learn about “the quality” of energy you hold – how to keep your energy clean and clear – and how to engage life without feeling drained by others.
Each person holds?a quality of vibration — ranging from?bright, light,?and?uplifted?versus?dark, slow,?and?heavy.?The quality of “vibration” one holds can be understood best as an “overall vibe or feeling.”
Exchanges with others come from “engagement” – how much you connect with them, how much you give, and how much you receive.?Some exchanges are positive/uplifting; others are negative/draining.?You learn about these dynamics and fine-tune your approach when you become a master of “feeling” – when you start to notice how your body is responding to different people and environments.
You become a master of feeling by asking questions like these:
Are you feeling safe and calm OR tight and anxious?

Do you notice anxiety, sadness or another emotion present?
Are you enjoying your time with them or do you want to get away?
It may appear at first glance that being drained is all about the other person—their energy, intentions, and actions—but the opposite is actually true.
The most important factors to help or hurt you are?the quality of your energy, your discernment skills,?and?the tools in your toolbox.?The focus and the power resides within?you.
The?more you attach, get close, or vulnerable?with another person, the more opportunity there is to be drained by exchanges with darker, slower, or heavier energies than yours. This is because heavier energies can easily take from lighter energies.
If a person’s energy is not at the same “wave-length” or “quality” as your own, they have the potential to deplete you. If their energy is volatile with emotional ups/downs, they can take you on a roller-coaster ride. You can be negatively impacted by all these dynamics – unless you have skills and know how to dance without feeling depleted.
What Can You Do?
Your top skills is to learn – to distinguish?their?energy from?your own?– their problems, perceptions, and emotions as separate from you.?Awareness.
Knowledge is key.?You’re not a martyr, victim, or saint.?You cannot rescue others.?Stop getting tangled in drama and being a cast member in distorted storylines created by others.
Each person is the creator of their own life.
Each person is powerful on their own.
It is not your job to take care of them, become “codependent” or feel responsible for their happiness.
In order to master energy skills – you must know yourself more intimately on every level.
You slowly begin to transform and strengthen by walking a very unique path –?your?JOURNEY TO SELF?– where love, compassion, growth, contribution, and inner peace are your gifts to the world.?
As you become skilled, you:
