A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer

Okay, as it is world mental health day I thought it would be a good time to do an small article.?
I got asked this question today and if I was honest it took me a bit of time to respond (and recover), the question was “Okay, Hads, I get it is mental health day and all that, but everyone has bad days and stuff but at work you just need to suck it up!”?
So after I got over the shock of what I was told, I had to respond and it took me a bit of time to put it in words, so my response was fairly short and was along the line of “Okay, have you ever had a cold or flu?” and he answered “Yes”, so I said “When you are ill with flu or a cold, do you think your preformed as well as you would normally have done”, and the answer was easy “No, I feel like sh*t”, and then my response was “Okay, so mental illness is still an illness and people can feel awful and you should understand that” the conversation got a little heated after that, then remember?a quote “A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer” think it was Bruce Lee, so said my byes and left.?
But after this it made me think, why are people so worried about saying they are suffering and I know as least 60% of you will be saying "Hads, what you on about we always talk about it in our office and at home” and my answer would be great, I am so happy you are able to, I know from a personal perspective, it is not always that easy?to talk about or even really understand.?

I am not saying I am in any way an expert, and this is all from personal perspective, I have been feeling really under the weather with my mental health in the past and have been able to get to the meeting and “get the job done”, but when the meeting has happened, I come straight back down again.?
So I guess what I am trying to say is that around 1 in 4 people are suffering with a mental health issues (Google the numbers), if you are sat in an office with 40 people at least 10 will be suffering and I guess more would be but not said anything, so try and be kind to people and try and see the signs as I know the hardest thing was to ask for help.?
