Wise Choices For 2020

Wise Choices For 2020

Presently our society has been experiencing major changes.

Are you taking this time to:

A). Update Your LinkedIn Profile?

● Updating your LinkedIn profile increases your chance of being spotted by members and recruiters by 18 times.

● 92% of B2B marketers use LinkedIn over all other media platforms to generate leads.

● There are over 11 million Millennial Influencers and over 61 million senior influencers on LinkedIn alone.

B). Polish Up Those Resumes?

● Creating an effective resume increases your chances of landing your dream job.

● More than 20,000 companies use the ATS tracking system to recruit new candidates.

● The ATS tracking system reads the resumes vertically, therefore all resumes that are aligned accordingly won’t end up in the trash.

● You’re competing against technology, so you have to use strategies in order to come out on top.

● The facts are that 75 % of the resumes are immediately eliminated.

C). Write That Cover Letter?

When crafting a cover letter think of yourself as a famous painter.

● It’s never a good idea to send the same old dull cover letter to multiple employers.

Here are some basic tips to follow:

Use the managers’ name: Dear Mr. Pineapple

● The company-name Dear Pineapple Company.

● Lead Person’s Name or Title-Senior Analyst Hiring Manager

I see you’re looking for an XXXXXXXXX.

Remember those Thesis Statements and Introductions from your College essays?

Your opening line needs to capture the attention and interest of the person in charge of the hiring process.

So take your time and think it through.

● You only have between 5-7 seconds to capture the readers’ attention.

● Paint a more detailed picture than what’s on your resume.

You really need to show your stuff in order to land the gig. Instead of saying ‘’ I was the lead person responsible for locating and restoring previous clients.

Try something like ‘’ By evaluating previous client questionnaires, training class scores, and KPI’s, and answering phones, I was influential in implementing the 4 P Approach, and a personal touch while locating and restoring previous clients.

● Look for problems to solve and be creative in your presentation.

Make sure the right experiences shine the most-be specific and relevant.

● Concentrate on your skill-sets.

Don’t be afraid to implement your life’s experience.

As long as it’s related to solving the company’s problems.

● Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses.

● Think about testimonies, great performance reviews, awards, and recommendations.

Finally, relax and be confident.
