Reflecting on the Beauty of Growth
"Time is the wisest counselor of all" – Pericles
Yes, this is my wife and I in college, this was our engagement photo. Yes, I know I'm a very lucky man. We found this picture today as we were going thru some old photo's.
Are you like me when you look at pictures of your youth? I mean, it's only natural for us to feel a sense of nostalgia and longing for days gone by, right? But, instead of yearning to relive our past, what if we shifted our perspective and focused on what truly matters; today and the present moment?
Rather than wishing to turn back the hands of time, shouldn't we instead embrace a mindset of gratitude and reflection. Shouldn't we wish for the wisdom to appreciate the journey we've traveled, the lessons we've learned, and the growth we've experienced along the way.

Each photograph of our lives serves as a poignant reminder of the moments that have shaped us, the challenges that have strengthened us, and the joys that have illuminated our path.
Instead of focusing on the past, let's channel our energies into cultivating a deep sense of appreciation for the person we've become and the experiences that have molded us into who we are today.
By shifting our focus from longing for the past to embracing the story of our growth and evolution, we're able to unlock a profound sense of gratitude and contentment for who we are in the present moment.
Cherish the memories of your youth my friends as stepping stones on the path to self-discovery and empowerment Celebrate the journey that has led you to this moment.
So, the next time you find yourself gazing at pictures of your youth, remember to wish for the wisdom to embrace the beauty of growth, the courage to live fully in the present, and the gratitude to cherish each moment as a gift.
Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.” — Bil Keane.
