Wisdom
Have you ever been faced with a situation in which you didn’t know what to do?
Every hand goes up at that question, right?
So what do you do when you don’t know what to do?
The answer is to get wisdom.?In fact, the Bible says ‘Wisdom is the principal thing.”
Proverbs 4:7,8 says
“The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful?and?godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).
Prize Wisdom highly?and?exalt her, and she will exalt?and?promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her.”
And in Proverbs 3:16 it says this about wisdom -
“Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor.”
So instead of seeking after the benefits of wisdom, seek wisdom itself because it produces those things.
So how do we get wisdom??Just ask for it!
I love how the Passion Translation says this in James 1:5?
"And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.”
?Wow!?”He will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.” That’s so good!
Want to know another secret? I know I’m giving you a lot of scriptures today, but this is good.?
1 Corinthians 1:30 says that Jesus has become wisdom for us.?So the next time you’re in a situation in your business or personal life where you need a dose of wisdom just say “Jesus, you are my wisdom.?I don’t know what to do in this situation, but you do and I thank you for showing me the answer.”
That’s it.
He longs to overwhelm you with his generous grace today!
