Wisdom is not better than intelligence
There is no difference between "intelligence" and "wisdom".
In some cases, people just like to use the fancier word "wisdom" when they refer to more factors being taken into account, e.g. in decision-making.
People with more past experiences like to be called "wise" and not just "intelligent". Taking into account more kinds of impacts in the future, may be called more "wise" when trying to decide a course of action. That doesn't change the fact that the mental processes are the same.
In all cases, the basis of intelligence is making mental CONNECTIONS, i.e. associations. There is no sharp (or in any way relevant) limit for the number of connections that would suddenly change a mental activity from being "intelligent" to being "wise".
Of course, if you want to sound more poetic or *Mystical* or deliberately try to affect others emotionally, you can talk about "wisdom" - as if it were something more Awe-some. In reality, you're talking about the same basic mental processes.

8 年Seriously: not too intelligents can act very wisely, can't they?! I personally understand these two having separate meanings. To my mind this has a connection to our yet unidentified abilities: Wise moves do not always depend on intelligence. Intelligent people may act unwisely. I am convinced we have some coded information that makes us every now and then act very wisely without clear understanding why we act as we do. It may have hormonal or otherwise chemical background without concious decision of act. Maybe there's something that doesn't open to me...
