WISAG Aviation and Ryanair strengthen partnership

Frankfurt am Main, December 6, 2018. – WISAG Aviation Service Holding and Europe's second largest airline Ryanair will continue their cooperation in Frankfurt in the coming years. This week the two companies extended the current contractual relationship for the provision of ground handling services for a further four years. The new contract will come into effect on first October 2018.

Since taking over Acciona Airport Services Frankfurt in February 2018, WISAG has been a Full Handling Partner of the Irish-based airline and is responsible for all services in the ground handling sector: this extends from ticketing and passage through apron and ramp to passenger transportation and the lost-and-found process. Each week roughly 125 flights are handled at Frankfurt Airport. Planes fly from the Frankfurt hub to almost all the principal European cities. The most popular destinations are Dublin (where the airline has its headquarters), London, Palma, Athens, Lisbon and Valencia. The airline transports approximately 129 million passengers every year and operates a fleet of over 455 planes.

As Michael C. Wisser, CEO of WISAG Aviation Service Holding, explains: "Ryanair is an important customer of ours – and not only at Frankfurt Airport. That's why we're delighted that we have been able to convince the airline with our contract proposal and our services and also to strengthen our trust-based partnership. Adrian Dunne, Director of Operations at Ryanair, said “In addition to Frankfurt, WISAG Aviation serves Ryanair at Cologne/Bonn Airport and we are delighted to extend our partnership with WISAG.”
