???? Wireless Devices and Health Risks: Are We "Phoning" It In?

The debate on potential health risks associated with wireless devices like cell phones and Wi-Fi routers has been "ringing" in our ears for years. Let's "call up" a summary of the evidence available up to September 2021 (but remember, more recent studies may have "dialed in" since then).

?? Cancer risk: In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) "picked up" on radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMFs) as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B). However, recent large-scale studies "connected" by the Danish Cancer Society and the COSMOS cohort study have found no "roaming" evidence of an increased risk of brain tumors or other cancers due to mobile phone use.

?? Non-cancer health effects: Research into non-cancer health effects, such as sleep disturbances, headaches, and cognitive impairment, seems to have a "weak signal" and doesn't show a clear cause-and-effect relationship.

In conclusion, while earlier studies may have left us on "hold" about the health risks of wireless devices, more recent research has provided a more "reassuring" line. As technology continues to "reach out" and advance, it's crucial to stay "in touch" with new findings and evidence to better understand any potential risks.

Steven Malen , thank you for starting this important discussion. Although I have personally a great respect to broadband revolution that started in 1991 Japan by NTT DoComo and continued in US with legendary Steve Jobs introducing first smart iPhone in 2007 and I admire the digital wireless Bluetooth MMS RF EMF etc technology but its long term effect uknown and I feel sometimes that less is more. Unless of course you need to be in touch with a family. day care, school, job, patients or clients etc…that’s a different story. We’re kind of all in the same boat, trying to figure out optimal balances and resolve dilemmas. Best of luck:) kiddo, safe phoning :) ??love you, mama ????
