Dual cameras & dual personalities Enraging enigmas vs docile delusions We're Wired to be Hypocrites

100s of likes on fund-raising posts A blind eye to the kid next door We're all Wired to be Hypocrites

Shiny selfies, filtered copies Saccharine words and suppressed wishes I ask, where's the real me? Where's the genuine you?

100% real, 100% organic, 100% cruelty free Let's pause to check how true that is, Chasing a mirage, feeding our alter-egos We're Wired to be Hypocrites

They must go to war, they must fight back Will you serve the nation for a day? Let's reflect a bit and see How we are Wired to be Hypocrites

Emerges the unmasked version of us In bits and pieces sometimes, Trying to fit in, to not be vulnerable Quickly the mask finds it's place of honour again How amazingly we're Wired to be Hypocrites

In this mad rate-race, almost a nutcase How much of real is left? Painted in shades of grey, We're all Wired to be Hypocrites

There's more to this, more stories of surprise Maybe a fault of yours & a flaw in me The world is such and so are we, We're all Wired to be Hypocrites
