WiP presented at PDSW'24(at SC'24)!

On November 17, I presented my Work-in-Progress at PDSW 2024 (9th International Parallel Data Systems Workshop) at SC24. It was a fantastic time to share my WiP with researchers and had good opportunities to deepen my idea. Surprisingly, I met Garth Gibson(currently in President & CEO, Vector Institute) and discussed about vector database. i was excited to meet him who are expert in storage systems and got nice feedback!

In our WiP("Are Streaming Engines and Vector Databases Integrated Well?" [pdf],[slides]), we highlighted two potential performance degradation cases in SPEs(Streaming Processing Engines) and Vector Databases. Both systems cannot know each other so their loose coupling may lead to performance degradation in certain cases. I will design high performance SPE with vector database to mitigate the performance issues observed in WiP.
