The WIOA program and how OC Workforce Solutions can help you!
OC Workforce & Economic Development Division
Connecting job seekers and businesses to no-cost services.
WIOA stands for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This is a federal law that provides job training and related services to help individuals, including those who have barriers to employment, so that they too can succeed in the competitive labor market.
This WIOA program connects job seekers to no-cost employment, education, training, and support services that are designed to help them better prepare for the job market. The funds allocated to this program are used to help dislocated workers, adults, and youth who need the training to find employment for the first time.
OC Workforce and Economic Development offers diverse programs for job seekers, including career counseling, job training, and job placement services. They will assist every individual to see if they are eligible for the WOIA-funded programs and services and connect them with the right training providers.
Through this program, OC Workforce Solutions partners up with employers to help identify their workforce needs, and help them find qualified candidates to fill open positions. They are here to help improve your strengths, create an employment plan to reach your goals, and train you for a high-growth career.
OC Workforce Solutions offers many more services as well, such as job centers in their one-stop locations in the surrounding Orange County cities. These centers are designed for community members who need assistance in finding jobs, laid-off employees, veterans, disabled, and mature workers. There are even resources for individuals looking to earn their high school diplomas or get started on a new career path.
