With November well and truly underway, we're excited to announce the launch of our seasonal menu. With plenty of winter warmers and festive treats up for grabs, we're looking forward to tucking into a warming lunch with friends.?

HILO x THE MILL STREET EXCHANGE

James Browne and Robin Harris , Mill Street members and founders of Hilo EV Ltd, have recently received a game-changing grant from Warwickshire County Council’s Digital Creative Recovery Co-Investment Programme.

Following a conversation with Simeon and Joanne at the Mill Street Exchange, James was encouraged to complete his application and has since been awarded a grant, taking the development of Hilo EV to the next level.

The grant allowed Hilo to collaborate with their partner, EVware, to develop a user interface screen for the Hilo One electric scooter.

This screen displays useful information such as navigation, range and battery charge state.

The Hilo One scooter can be integrated with electric cars, making it easy for people to switch between the two. The project aimed to show navigation information on the car's infotainment system, including route planning and parking recommendations. Users can then park their car and continue their journey on the Hilo electric scooter.?

The project was a great success, and it has attracted interest from several automotive OEMs, who are now considering Hilo's capabilities in providing integrated last-mile solutions, like the Hilo One e-Scooter, to their customers.

SPARK NETWORKING IS LAUNCHING IN LEAMINGTON SPA

SPARK Business Networking is super excited to be launching their first Warwickshire event here at 1 Mill Street.

Discover a luxe, high-end approach to networking in a high-vibe environment. Greeted with a welcome drink and canapés, Spark Business Networking feels like a special evening out rather than a work event.

Launched just under a year ago, SPARK is quickly growing throughout Kent and London and will soon be launching in Leamington Spa and Birmingham.?

Each event is different, but you can expect live music, inspirational speakers and a goodie bag, alongside marketing for your business on social media and a feature in our guest business brochure, which will be sent to all guests the day before the event.

HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

At each fabulous event, we choose 3 speakers who will have a slot of up to 15 minutes each, around something inspiring, comic, or storytelling for the audience, which will be made up of entrepreneurs and SMEs. The Game Dev Group are back at Mill Street on Thursday the 23rd, to discuss another pressing topic in the gaming industry, 'Girls in Gaming'.

The speakers for the evening will be talking and sharing actionable advice for women and girls in games, as well as how we, as friends, colleagues and allies, can support one another in the broader context of the industry.

We will be speaking to Liz Prince , Tiffany W. and Natasha Nathani (BscHons) and will be taking questions from the community beforehand and the audience on the night.

Liz is the Business Manager of Amiqus, the multi-award-winning recruitment specialist in the games industry. With 20 years of industry experience as a woman in games, she is also the force behind the G Into Gaming campaign, a pro bono initiative to drive more diversity and promote gender balance in the games industry.

Tiffany is currently a Senior Gameplay Programmer with Playstation and has been creating games for 9 years, gaining experience in some of the top studios in the world, such as Codemasters and Ubisoft. Tiffany has been an ambassador for the industry, helping many aspiring game devs get into games through portfolio reviews and advice and is currently a Mastered Mentor.

?Natasha is currently Senior Producer with Sumo and previously Senior Technical Producer with Rebellion Games, having had an extensive career in the industry with credits on a number of big titles such as Tom Clancy's: The Division 2, Watchdogs Legion, Sniper Elite 5 and Evil Genius 2, with animation credits on popular franchises such as The Elder Scrolls (Return to Summerset Isle) and Gears of War 5. She also does some incredible work as a Mentor for The Girls Network.

To kickstart the festive season of giving, Make Good Grow is supporting Helping Hands Community Project with this year’s Shoebox appeal, which spreads a little Christmas cheer for the homeless and vulnerable adults within Leamington, Warwick, and Kenilworth.

Wrap up an empty shoebox and fill it with any of the below items. Please keep the lid separate and attached with an elastic band, with the box clearly labelled Male or Female.?

*Hygiene products: Toothbrush/toothpaste, Hair brush/comb, Soap, Flannel, Deodorant (no aerosols), sanitary products

*Warm clothing: hats, scarves, gloves, socks, hand warmers, clothing vouchers?
