Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Colorful Sirius, also known as Alpha Canis Majoris, is our night sky's brightest star. Sirius is about 8.6 light years from Earth, making it our closest star.

One large and one small star exist in this system, according to science, leading many to call Sirius a Binary star. But traditional Dogon wisdom says that there is a third star in Sirius, called "Emme Ya" or the "Sorghum Female".

Shown here are some light paintings created by moving the camera in front of Sirius.
