Winter Storm, Monochrome

I’m publishing this series on LinkedIn called Colors to explore a topic that I care deeply about: the Renaissance Mind. I am just as passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and business, as I am about art and culture. In this series, I will typically publish a piece of art – a painting, a poem, a piece of music, so forth – and I request you to spend a minute or two deeply meditating on it. I urge you to watch your feelings, thoughts, reactions to the piece, and write what comes to you, what thoughts it triggers, in the dialog area. Let us see what stimulation this interaction yields. For today – Winter Storm, Monochrome

5 年There is no "peace" in this storm. Here in Texas, a storm such as this heralds dangerous tornadoes. It is very deep. It triggers fear and intrepidation

5 年Anyone out there who thought "great, some heavy rain to wash out everything"? The darker the cloud, the greater the rain. I love heavy rains in South East Asia and always found quite magical pouring water from the sky, such a heavy element falling out from thin air. And that moment before heavy shower when you look up to a majestuous cumulonimbus spreading its virga, firing some thunders, with sudden change of lights, warm gales?wiping aroma of ozone, petrichor and geosmin that freshen your mind to find a good shelter... I realize my love for the rain is probably also due to my hate for umbrellas, which I Freudianly lose all the time. Quite off topic, but why not, it's Monday after-all. Thanks for the post, Sramana Mitra!

5 年The storm in dark shades rumbling denotes the storm which is rising in the minds of people in the world. The storm of lack of faith, the storm of doubt, the storm of fear, which makes people in attacking mode. It blurs the vision. There is no clarity in thinking, mind is cluttered. Attacking, retaliating.,.. without thinking of consequences.... The chilling winter takes away all the warmth of the heart, only cold looks, cold thoughts, cold vengeance... Stirs the storm within,.. And it manifests without... Thanks.
